Orion Land is led by Chairman Richard Olsen. Richard has a reputation within the industry of being naturally entrepreneurial and visionary and leads a highly experienced team who bring the necessary commercial, creative and management skills to deliver the vision.
As Chairman, Richard oversees all aspects of the company. He has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, with detailed market knowledge across the entire investment and development spectrum.
His business model is simple: Think of the future; be tenacious; pay meticulous attention to design and planning; deliver on time and most importantly always act with integrity.
Jason Fielden has been with Orion Land since day one. His background in banking and his attention to detail has been a contributing factor to Orion Land’s success. Jason’s primary responsibility is to work with Richard to deliver Orion Land’s business strategy and ensure the continued growth of the group. He manages the day-to-day operations and ensures the appropriate resources and support is available across the whole company. Jason also leads on certain key projects and is responsible for making sure that all budgets are adhered to.
Prior to joining Richard and Jean to start Orion Land, Jason worked as Area Director in Retail Banking at Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

Jean has a wealth of experience at the highest political and corporate level, and has been Richard’s business partner for over 20 years since they worked on delivering The Royal Opera House and delivered the Cardiff International Sports Village together.
Jean leads on the feasibility stage of any new project and is passionate about Orion Land’s responsibility to improve people’s lives through good design and innovative solutions.Overseeing communication with all stakeholders and public engagement with local communities, Jean ensures their vision, creativity and ambition is balanced with pragmatism.
Having gained a degree in Real Estate Management, Ben spent the early part of his career working as Land Director for Heronsbrook Homes. In 2006 Ben was appointed Group Land Director of the Wooldridge Group, responsible for operations and strategic growth of the business and remained in the role until 2019. With over twenty years’ experience in the land and development industry helping to build two successful companies, in 2020 Ben decided to form his own company, King Charles Homes.
Ben is a very keen sportsman and after leaving college played rugby at a high level. He now enjoys playing golf at Sunningdale Golf Club, where he is a member. Ben recently became a father for the second time and much of his spare time is now dedicated to his family.
Since retiring from a full military career, Mick has run his own property rental business, was the Field Operations Manager for a major logistics support company which included setting up a field hospital for an oil and gas company in Uganda, and as Operations and Technical Director in the security and risk management sector he safely evacuated clients from a rapidly declining state in Libya. Mick also served as the CEO of a military charity, where he re-structured the fundraising and welfare delivery to wounded, injured, sick and those in need.
Mick joined Orion Land from the major US Build to Rent specialist, Cortland, based in London, where he was the Chief of Staff and Head of UK Operations.
Denton is a highly skilled real estate finance and investment professional with over four years of experience in complex transactions and developments. He has worked for a large pan-European real estate private equity firm called Round Hill Capital in the UK. His role for project feasibility, project finance, and overall investment management.
Before Round Hill, Denton was at a leading affordable housing build-to-rent provider in Canada as a financial analyst. His finance background and diverse work experience contribute to the effective analysis and management of Orion projects.
